Why Purrfolio exists

I tried a lot of budgeting and expense apps. Some were hard to use, some were expensive, and none of them covered everything I needed. So I started building my own.

A team of one (with some AI help)

Everything — the design, the code, the support emails — is done by me, alone. I use AI tools to help me design and write code faster, which is what makes a project like this possible for a single person. Every change still goes through me before it reaches you.

Made for me, so I care

Purrfolio is a hobby, but it's also the app I use for my own money every day. That's why I care about the details: how quickly you can log an expense, whether the numbers add up, and whether the app is actually pleasant to open. If something feels off, I notice it too.

What Purrfolio won't do

Purrfolio will never connect to your bank. Linking bank accounts brings real security risks, and as a one-person project I don't want to hold the keys to anyone's bank. You add transactions yourself, or import a CSV file you've exported from your bank or another app.
